What are the possible side effects of RAPAFLO®?

Well tolerated. Safety profile proven in medical studies.

The most common side effect with RAPAFLO is orgasm with reduced or no semen.6  This is an expected side effect of alpha-blockers that target the prostate, and is not harmful to your health.6  This effect is not permanent, and is reversible once you stop taking RAPAFLO.6  RAPAFLO does not affect a man's ability to achieve orgasm or to have and maintain an erection.

Although the amount of semen may be different, sex can still be pleasurable.3

Other less common side effects associated with RAPAFLO include dizziness, diarrhea, lightheadedness upon standing or sitting up abruptly, headache, swelling of the throat and nasal passages, and stuffy nose.6

Like all alpha-blockers, RAPAFLO might cause a slight drop in blood pressure, especially when you stand up quickly after sitting or lying down. This may make you dizzy or lightheaded, especially if you are already have low blood pressure or are taking medications for high blood pressure. You should not drive, operate machinery, or do any dangerous activities until you know how RAPAFLO affects you.6

RAPAFLO does not affect a man's ability to achieve orgasm or to have and maintain an erection.

RAPAFLO is indicated for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

RAPAFLO is not indicated for the treatment of hypertension.

Important Safety Information

RAPAFLO is approved to treat male urinary symptoms due to BPH, also called an enlarged prostate. RAPAFLO should not be used to treat high blood pressure. Only your doctor can tell if you have BPH, not a more serious condition like prostate cancer. RAPAFLO should not be used in patients with severe liver or kidney disease as well as those taking certain antifungal or HIV drugs. Avoid driving or hazardous tasks until you know how RAPAFLO will affect you, as a sudden drop in blood pressure may occur, rarely resulting in fainting. If considering cataract surgery, tell your eye surgeon you're currently taking RAPAFLO or have taken it in the past. Side effects include orgasm with reduced or no semen, dizziness, diarrhea, lightheadedness upon standing or sitting up abruptly, headache, swelling of the throat and nasal passages, and stuffy nose.
